Sanspark Cecilia forest

Design Concept
The calm and relaxing atmosphere of the Cecilia environment allows the users the time to isolate themselves from the city life by walking and hiking through the forest.
The intervention is derived from the idea of the movement about the site, through the forest and around it. The movement of the vehicles, pedestrians, streams and water features in the mountain. The intervention is to accentuate those movement patterns dictated by the topography on the landscape by reinstated existing patterns, establishing new and allowing future movement patterns to be established.
The intention of the new built is a building would represent a starting point of the journey and a portal from city life into the forest. The building sits intrinsically onto the site and integrates with the landscape. A built form that is reminiscent of a moving, temporary structure that is adaptable to the change and future development of the forest. The functions of the building should access from various routes of the forest as well as accommodate movement through the building from those different routes whereby there are no special boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. The use of natural elements within the structure of the building accentuates the sustainability and sensitive nature of the site and its surrounding.
